Here is last year's Thank You card.  Embossed "Snow Swirled" tree, embellished with Permanent Ink Sharpie pens and Crystal Effects.

3-Tiered Card

This fall at Kathy's workshop, I made a 3-Tiered card.  I think it worked nicely for our Christmas card.  To give additional "pop," I cut around our shoulders and heads to make it 3-dimensional.

My favorite holiday

The "Thoroughly Thankful" stamp set is so versatile.  I used the largest stamps in the set for this Thanksgiving card.

Stamp A Stack Christmas cards

I just prepared 20 Christmas cards.  My thanks to Mel for  cutting the card stock and ribbon!  I am happy with the results and will look forward to another Stamp-A-Stack next year.

Tailor Made II

This masculine card was made with the SU designer paper "Tailor Made"

The inscription is done with StazOn copper ink and clear embossing powder.

I accented the curvy label with Dark Brown pastel.

For this "guy card," I used the Tailor-Made designer series paper; embellishments; and SU brass eyelets.

Crayola card

This card idea is copied (somewhat) from a complete set of colorful cards, posted by my friend Mel.  Using the Big Flower background stamp on glossy white card stock and Night of Navy ink and paper.

This shouldn't have taken a lot of time, but it did.  Guess I'm just out of practice.  Copied the pattern from the Stampin' Up! catalog.

Today's card is copied. . . and not as easy as I thought it would be.  Gave me an opportunity to use my pastels and sponge daubers.

One-year anniversary

In honor of my retirement's one-year anniversary, I'm posting a picture of the thank you card I sent to my former coworkers last August.  The clock theme was perfectly suited for this greeting, since they all heard me say every Monday how many more months, weeks, days I had till the big day!

Post-It Note holders

I used double-sided cardstock to create Post-It Note holders. Inside, I used a piece of Super Tape and ribbon to attach a coordinating mini ballpoint pen. (I sold 6 of these today at the Lions' Club yard sale for $1 each. This is the only leftover.)

Joe's birthday

I bought the stickers for this card a few years ago!  Used my Cuttlebug to make the red embossed background and (with help from my friend Mel) we used a Big Shot to make the die cut.  Stampin' Up for the greeting.

Flight of the Butterfly sun catcher

I used a window sheet and dimensional adhesive to add the butterflies.  This sun catcher was made for my granddaughter's bedroom window.

The butterfly stamp set is a 2-step.  Instead of using the Stamp-a-majig, I used glossy white paper for the solid background, stamped the overlay on clear acetate (window pane), and punched both out with the butterfly punch--overlaying them with a brad.

Loads of Love II

The continuing story, "Loads of Love" stamp set. For some strange reason, the shiny silver ink on the hubcaps and bumpers doesn't show up here.

I was asked to write a little note of advice for a mother to be. She will read everyone's notes at her baby shower. Plus, we were invited to decorate the card!!! So, my mind immediately was drawn to the Loads of Love stamp set. The message is rolled up in the truck bed. I really like this stamp set!

Under the Stars

For these cards, I think cutting out the stamped images really worked nicely. Notice the Virginia Tech colors I've selected for a special someone's birthday next month.

Color families

I spent several hours today organizing my card stock according to the color families. Still not finished! Sure wish Mel was here to help me. She's so good at organizing. :-)

Sympathy card

Every time I send a handmade card, I hope the recipient understands that my wishes are truly heartfelt. Many times the cards are signed through tear-filled eyes. . . as with this one.

Anniversary greeting

This was done on glossy card stock. I think it looked better in real life.

Baby shower

We will attend a baby shower in a few weeks. . . I hope they are too excited to see that my sentiment on this card is crooked 8 - }

Terrific Twill

Create customized twill tape by coloring the stamp with Watercolor Wonder Crayons, then lightly mist the twill with water. Gives you a watercolor-like image.

A crisper image can be achieved by misting the stamp, instead of the twill.

Dream BIG

I plan to make a couple of these, with the inscription "Dream BIG"

Old, but not forgotten

A sample of note cards I made in the 80s. I've packaged a dozen of each for sale at a nearby historic mansion's store. They will qualify as antique art!!

Crafts 2000

Spent the day with my best friend--shopping, shopping, shopping. Started out at Crafts 2000 and finished with a 3-hour visit to the craft fair in Ripley, West Virginia. (Didn't spend a lot of money.) Beautiful weather, too.
