Cards for Shut-ins

Several ladies from my church helped with assembling 30 or more of these!  We used a variety of ribbons and background card stock.  This is a sample, with a leaning tree.  (Joe asked me, "Is the tree supposed to be leaning?")  Ooops.

Thanksgiving card 2016

I made this card as a thank you to the people at my church who faithfully help with teaching and leading groups.

I used all Stampin' Up supplies -- stamp, paper, inks.

Christmas 2016

Here is our Christmas card for 2016.  I copied the idea from a card Stampin' Up had in their holiday catalog.  Thank you Stampin' Up!

The toughest part was finding burlap in the correct size.  This "ribbon" was made from a 12x12 sheet of burlap.

Also, a big thank you to my dear friend Mel for helping me assemble all of the cards!  She is a true friend.

Pop-Up greeting

Here is the pop-up greeting

June birthdays 2016

Using Thin-lit dies, I made two different cards with the same greeting inside (a pop-up design).  See next post.

Special Greeting

I needed a special greeting card to welcome our new pastor -- this is what I designed.   The focal flower is made with two layers of paper: watercolor and acetate.  The "ribbon" is Washi-Tape.  The background is free style stamping.  I liked how it turned out.

Thank You ideas

I'm very pleased with the size of these -- perfect for holding a gift card.  The bags are made with a Sizzix die and the flowers and the baker's twine are from Hobby Lobby.

Bag o' birthday wishes

Using a flat craft bag, I made several of these gift card holders.  This one was unique since it was for a special birthday person.

February -- early Easter cards

The Visitation Team at church helped me color and paste 30 of these.  I'd used a Sizzix die to cut out the wreath, the bow, and the opening.  Lots of work . . . so I really appreciated the help with the coloring.  I finished off the coloring with some clear gel on the flowers.

Singer Sewing Machine

I used a Sizzix die to cut out the background shapes, "Singer" sewing machine, spools & bobbins.  No stamping required for the card front.

Bordering Blooms

Again, I found a card idea on the internet.  I copied the technique (cutting around the border & then layering with a coordinating stripe).  Had lots of fun matching the paper and the ink!
