Christmas 2013

Window (focal point) -- vellum embossed with snowflakes;
Snowman -- stamped, colored, and cut out (even those little stick arms OH MY);
Inside -- family photo with a piece of ribbon holding the greeting

Credit for photo goes to our daughter and her Photo Shop skills

I made only 15 of these.

Post-It Note Holder

This was fun to make.  Inside is a pad of Post-It Note paper and a small ball-point pen.  This was EASY for me since my friend made the cover.  Thank you, friend (you know who you are).

August happenings

We spent most of August traveling -- so no new cards.  Here is one of the pictures I took with my iPhone of Glacier National Park.  If you want to hear more about our 6,000 + mile trip, here is a link to our blog:

Bold Bright July

I used summer time bold bright colors for a remake of a card I originally made years ago in pastels.  Looks so different.

Sizzlit die

 I used a Sizzlit die for this card (looks like 2 separate cards).  Fun and so different.

Cash $$$ Pocket

Now, when I look at the finished card I think the pocket should have been smaller.  However, the recipient liked it so much she made a thank you card for us.  That was extra nice.

Masculine madness

Every year I go through some "madness" -- searching websites for ideas for masculine cards.  Here are two I created by tweaking the one I found on line.

With all the snow, I had some fun making cards.

Color Box ink pad

Yes . . . I see the blurry image, but figure it was OK since the image still looked fun and colorful.

I used a combination stamp pad that allows multiple colors in one stamping.  You just need to remember to not touch the ink pad again until you've cleaned the stamp (this keeps the ink pad clean).

Flower power

Paper-pieced flower
After a few attempts, this flower-power card finally made a passing grade.  The trick was remembering to offset the petals and to trim the card with the paper trimmer.

Punched-paper caterpillar

The focal point of this one, the caterpillar, was fun and easy.  I measured the length of the five dots, ran a strip of tape that length onto the paper, and then lined up the punched paper dots onto the tape.  The caterpillar's face was added later.
